Home for Infants and Young Children

Lighthouse of Hope MK has proudly partnered with the Home for Infants and Young Children in Bitola, North Macedonia, which once provided care for orphans aged 0-3 before its closure in late 2019. Over the course of four years, from 2015 to 2019, our organization provided significant contributions, including a fully-furnished sensory room and two new industrial sinks for the children's baths. We also donated art supplies and infant nutritional supplements. Jennifer and Zoran further shared their expertise with the caregivers through seminars on Healthy Attachment, Sensory Processing Disorder, and other developmental topics, all of which were carefully translated into the Macedonian language.

Sumnal

In 2018, Lighthouse of Hope MK was grateful to have the chance to provide valuable support to Sumnal, a Roma Educational Center in Bitola, North Macedonia. As an organization that understands the importance of education in shaping a child's future, we were honored to donate a full year's worth of school supplies to Sumnal.

The center plays a crucial role in providing pre-school preparation, homework assistance, and health seminars for parents within the Roma Community, helping to ensure that the children in this underserved population have access to the tools and resources they need to succeed. We recognize that education is a vital part of a child's growth and development and are proud to have had the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these children by supporting their educational journey.

In addition to our support for Sumnal, we have also provided additional school supplies, shelving units, and storage cabinets in the years that followed. We believe that education is a fundamental right that should be available to all children, and we are committed to doing our part in ensuring that underserved communities have access to the resources they need to succeed. Through our ongoing efforts, we hope to make a positive impact on the lives of children in North Macedonia and beyond.

Christmas Blankets for Open Gate Girls

We believe that everyone deserves to feel loved and cared for, especially those who have been through difficult and traumatic experiences like human trafficking. That's why we are proud to have partnered with Open Gate La Strada in Skopje to provide Christmas baskets for three teenage girls who had been rescued from trafficking. These girls have gone through so much in their lives, and we wanted to show them that they are not alone and that they are valued and cherished. By providing them with these special Christmas baskets, we hope to bring a little bit of joy and warmth to their lives during the holiday season. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Open Gate La Strada and to support these brave and resilient young women.
