The JOY Home, Lighthouse of Hope MK's first Therapeutic Day Center for special needs orphans, is nestled in the quaint village of Bareshani just outside of Bitola, North Macedonia. Licensed in October 2021, The JOY Home opened its doors that November.

At The JOY Home, each child receives the highest quality of care and attention through one-on-one play and activities, music, movement, and the implementation of the TBRI (Trust Based Relational Interventions) and Gentle Teaching models. The center provides a warm, nurturing, and lighthearted environment where children can grow, learn, and flourish in their development.

The JOY Home is made possible by a dedicated staff who bring their unique expertise and passions to the children they serve. With a team of professionals trained in areas such as life skill training, DIR Floortime Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Physical Therapy the children at The JOY Home are surrounded by a supportive and knowledgeable community. Each member of the staff plays a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing environment for the children to thrive in, and their passion for helping these special needs children is evident in all that they do. Whether it's through expertly facilitating skill-building activities, ensuring the smooth operation of the center, driving the bus, or providing one-on-one therapy sessions, the staff at The JOY Home are dedicated to providing the best possible care for the children they serve daily.

The JOY Home offers a tranquil environment for children to find hope and healing. The sprawling yard, filled with fruit trees, flowers, and fresh air, provides a peaceful haven for growth and development. Two emotional support dogs are also on hand to offer comfort and safety. The home setting with big windows on both sides of the main floor provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for children to feel safe and cared for.
