At The JOY Home, we have the added benefit of having yard dogs who act as guard dogs and provide a sense of safety and security for our precious children. Our dogs were rescued from a nearby village, and each have their own unique and endearing personalities. They have adapted incredibly well to their new roles, becoming integral parts of The JOY Home family.
These furry guardians provide not only protection, but also a calming presence while the children are exploring The JOY Home grounds. When they get off the bus, several of the children run to the dogs to say “hello.” Everyone has formed special bonds with our four-legged protectors, who are always nearby, silently watching over them, and waiting for all the pets. Their comforting presence helps create a safe and secure environment, allowing the children to focus on their healing and growth.
Additionally, our rescue dogs also benefit from being part of The JOY Home. They have found a home, a purpose, and a family that cares for them deeply. In return, they provide an immeasurable amount of love and protection.
We believe in providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children at The JOY Home, and our furry friends are an essential part of making that possible. They not only offer a sense of security but also add to the warmth and home-like atmosphere of our Day Center.
